Anyone finding themselves venturing into Kell's domain could find it unsettling at first. An impenetrable, milky fog covers the terrain that seems to shift over time, the change gradual, almost imperceptible at first. As if it's fluid, unable to decide on its own, what it wants to be. Unable to stay one thing at a time for longer. Even the sounds change - the water dripping, the soft murmur of shifting sands, the quiet song of the wind, the crackling of fire - and the scent, a faint aroma of fresh cut flowers. Though it too changes, going from roses to tulips, to lilacs, to orchids, mingling, never settling for one.
At some point, Kell finally stopped fiddling with it and the space somewhat settled. The fog gradually clears revealing first shadows, then silhouttes, then concrete shapes of trees.
Finally, lush forest opens into a narrow back alley leading to a two story building that could as easily be someone's modest, city residence or a tavern that it is. A sign Is Kir Ayes swings over the
door.
Some days the door opens directly into a staircase leading to the upper floors.

Some days into an open space with a bar, the staircase at the back and a few, well-hidden corner tables lit by warm, red glow seeping in through the windows.

There's an open space in the basement. Dark and humid, that feels more like a cave than a basement. With battered practice dummies and a stone pillar in the middle. Sometimes there's a basin placed on the pillar.
At the end of the stairs, there's a cramped room with one bed, filled with books, trinkets, a few maps. Several items on the shelves are direct copies of the things that he has in Thorne.

Half floor down, is Kell's alchemical laboratory with a long table strewn with notes, and littered with every possible recreation of his failure at alchemy outside in the attempt to dissect them and figure out where he went wrong.

And there are door at the very base of the staircase, that's always closed. Kell hasn't told anyone yet what he put behind those door.
